Barry Lupton

In addition to holding a BSc in Landscape and Garden Design Barry has also studied horticulture, worked extensively in the garden retail and plant production sectors in Ireland, Europe and the US. He is currently principle lecturer in garden design at Senior College Dun Laoghaire (www.scd.ie), Editor of the Ireland’s horticultural trade publication, Horticulture and Landscape Ireland (www.hli.ie) and operates ethos Landscape and Garden Design, which is based in North County Dublin.

Barry’s design portfolio reflects his breath of knowledge and covers a broad spectrum of works including contemporary urban spaces, large rural sites, domestic gardens, spatial installations, roof gardens and everything in between. His approach to design is very much client and site focused and builds on his passion for plants, in-depth knowledge of spatial design and innovative creativity.

Working in partnership with a number of professional landscape contractors, architects and maintenance teams, Barry is able to deliver a full-scope design service ranging from site appraisals through to design construction and on-going maintenance.
