Hugh Ryan

After studying architecture at Bolton St in Dublin, (1969-1973) I turned my attention to landscape design in 1977. Since then I have concentrated on the design and construction of private gardens.

I believe that the skill of designing is to not only resolve the requirement of client and of site, but to go beyond this and to endeavour to create a ‘garden’ that will become a thing of beauty capable of affecting our emotions.

 For the moment I describe myself as a Landscape Post Modernist.
