Lisa Murphy

Lisa studied landscape Architecture at Greenwich University and runs a design practice, Landscape Restoration Design Ltd. - in partnership with plantsman and landscaper, Andrew Glenn-Craigie.

She is noted for the harmony she achieves in using strong architectural shapes, whether formal lines, soft curves or the effect of massed planting. All the elements in her designs interconnect and flow together to give her gardens a soft, natural but structured sense of place. She believes even the smallest garden should contain a journey using circulation patterns to guide the journey, incorporating niches, focal points and hidden features to give an element of surprise.

Lisa emphasises the importance of very careful site planning [taking the client's brief into consideration] and the use of good quality materials, features and plants.
