Susan Maxwell

Susan is an award-winning designer who specializes in residential projects and has several large gardens to her credit.  Most recently she won a silver-gilt medal in the small garden category at Bloom 2007. An elegant and understated example of her smaller work is on permanent display at the National Garden Exhibition Centre in Kilquade Co. Wicklow.

Her gardens have been variously described as gracious, elegant, gently coloured, and most of all well structured. She herself believes that the essential element in designing any garden is the open spaces within it, and how they relate to each other. Within this strongly structured approach to design, Susan aims for simplicity and harmony, two of the key words she uses about her work.

Susan is interested in developing low maintenance gardens for today's busy lives.
