Verney Naylor

Verney has been successfully designing gardens for over 30 years. Her style is generally informal but she also enjoys doing walled gardens and ornamental kitchen gardens. Her degree in geology has given her a thorough grounding in scientific methods and has encouraged her interest in creating wildlife and oriental style gardens - she loves using rocks in her designs.

As a garden designer Verney tries to create a balance between what is practical and possible on the one hand and what is fitting and beautiful on the other. She is known for her interesting planting plans [all season] and low maintenance ideas. But above all she hopes her gardens offer a tranquil space in which to unwind from today's busy world.
